The present invention provides a control method of a cooling water valve for an engine, comprising: a mode selection step of checking whether a drive mode of a vehicle, which is inputted into a control part, is a mileage-preferred mode or a heating-preferred mode; a temperature comparing step of comparing a result value deducted in accordance with a predetermined standard with a first reference value previously inputted into the control part when a selected mode is the mileage-preferred mode in the mode selection step; a first transient area control step of calculating a peak-peak value of a temperature of cooling water by the control part and controlling a flowing stop valve to be closed/opened in accordance with a predetermined standard when the result value deducted in the temperature comparing step is a first reference value previously inputted into the control part or more, and the current temperature value of the cooling water is a determined temperature value of the first transient area previously inputted into the control part or more; a second transient area control step of comparing the peak-peak value of the temperature of the cooling water, which is deducted in the first transient area control step, with a second reference value previously inputted into the control part, and controlling the flowing stop valve to be closed/opened by the control part when the peak-peak value is within the second reference value. According to the present invention, the temperature of the cooling water inside/outside the engine is controlled to maintain a predetermined temperature or more after the engine is rapidly warmed; thereby reducing mechanical friction between parts of the engine and increasing mileage.

    제어부에 입력되는 차량의 주행모드가 연비우선모드인지 난방우선모드인지를 확인하는 모드선택단계; 상기 모드선택단계에서 선택된 모드가 연비우선모드이면 소정의 기준에 따라 도출된 결과값과 제어부에 기입력된 제1기준값을 비교하는 온도비교단계; 상기 온도비교단계에서 도출된 결과값이 제어부에 기입력된 제1기준값 이상이고, 냉각수의 현재온도값이 제어부에 기입력된 제1과도영역 판단온도값 이상이면 제어부가 냉각수온의 피크-피크값을 산출하고, 유동정지밸브를 소정의 조건에 따라 폐쇄/개방되도록 제어하는 제1과도영역 제어단계; 및 상기 제1과도영역 제어단계에서 도출된 냉각수온의 피크-피크값과 제어부에 기입력된 제2기준값을 비교하고, 피크-피크값이 제2기준값 이내이면, 제어부가 유동정지밸브를 소정의 조건에 따라 폐쇄/개방되도록 제어하는 제2과도영역 제어단계;를 포함하는 엔진 냉각수 밸브의 제어방법이 소개된다.
