The present invention relates to a secondary foothold in which the structural stability of the secondary foothold protruding by sliding in the lower part of a side door for a vehicle is maintained and the withdrawal of the secondary foothold is safely controlled. More specifically, the present invention relates to a secondary foothold capable of maintaining a firm support force about a load applied from an upper part of the secondary foothold while the secondary foothold is deployed forward by adopting a strengthened structure and preventing an accident caused by the secondary foothold when the secondary foothold is deployed and malfunction of the secondary foothold by adopting a pressure-based operating pattern about the deploying operation of the secondary foothold. According to the present invention, as the deployment of a slide footstep part is controlled in connection with an operation of opening and closing a door of the vehicle side part, the actual usability of the slide footstep part can be maximized. Moreover, according to the present invention, since the deploying operation of the slide footstep part can be simply controlled regardless of the operation of opening and closing the door of the vehicle side part by dividing the deploying operation control of the slide footstep part into an automatic mode and a manual mode, the door of the vehicle side part can be kept closed during the cleaning and maintenance of the slide footstep part.

    본 발명은 차량의 측면 도어 하부에 슬라이딩 하면서 출몰하는 보조발판의 구조적 안정성을 유지하면서 보조발판의 출몰 제어를 안전하게 하는 기술로서, 보강된 구성을 채택하여 보조발판이 전방으로 전개된 상태에서도 보조발판의 상부로부터 가해지는 하중에 대해 견고한 지지력을 유지할 수 있도록 하고, 보조발판의 전개 동작에 대한 압력 기반 동작 패턴을 채택하여 보조발판이 전개될 때 보조발판에 의해 안전사고를 방지함과 아울러 보조발판의 고장을 방지할 수 있도록 하는 기술이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 차량 측부의 도어가 열리거나 닫히는 동작에 연동하여 슬라이드 발판부의 출몰을 제어함으로써 슬라이드 발판부의 실제 사용성을 극대화할 수 있는 장점이 있고, 슬라이드 발판부의 출몰 동작 제어를 자동모드와 수동모드로 구분함으로써 차량 측부의 도어가 열리거나 닫히는 동작과 무관하게 슬라이드 발판부만의 출몰 동작을 간편하게 제어함으로써, 슬라이드 발판부의 청소나 기타 정비를 할 때 차량 측부의 도어가 닫힌 상태에서 수행할 수 있는 장점도 있다.
