본 발명은 차량용 레이더에 있어서, 특히 차량용 레이더의 수신기 및 그 수신기에서 방향도래각 추정 방법에 관한 것으로, 복수 수신채널을 통해 다중 수신신호를 수신하는 단계와, 상기 다중 수신신호의 첩펄스(chirp pulse)에서 표적의 위치를 나타내는 상관행렬을 산출하는 단계와, 상기 상관행렬에서 잡음영역을 추정하기 위해, 상기 첩펄스의 개수를 사용하여 상기 상관행렬을 평균화하는 단계와, 상기 평균화된 결과에 대한 고유치 분해를 통해 신호영역과 상기 추정된 잡음영역을 나타내는 고유벡터를 산출하는 단계와, 상기 고유벡터의 상기 신호영역으로부터 상기 표적의 개수를 선정하는 단계와, 상기 선정된 표적에 대한 방향도래각을 추정하는 단계로 이루어지는 방법과, 그러한 방법에 기반하여 동작하는 수신기에 관한 발명이다.

CONSTITUTION: A receiver receives multiple reception signals through a plurality of reception channels (S10). The signal processor of the receiver selects the number of targets from a signal area excluding the noise area from an eigenvector (S60). The signal processor of the receiver estimates a directional arrival angle for the selected target (S70).
