본 발명은 전기자동차 배터리 충전 기술에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는, 역률(Power Factor: PF)이 1에 가깝도록 효율이 향상된 전기자동차 배터리 충전용 AC-DC 컨버터에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예는, 입력전원 교류 전원의 역률을 0.9 내지 1로 보정한 후 직류 전원으로 정류하여 출력하는 입력부(1); 상기 입력부(1)의 출력 직류 전원을 입력 받은 후, 제로 전압 스위칭을 달성하는 동기정류 및 액티브 클램프를 수행한 후 배터리 충전에 필요한 전압으로 DC-DC 변환하여 출력하며 액티브 클램프 스너버 회로를 구비하는 출력부(2); 및 상기 입력부(1)와 출력부(2)의 구동을 위한 전원을 공급하는 바이어스 공급부(3)를 포함하고, 상기 출력부(2)는 제로 전압 스위칭을 위해, 풀브리지 회로를 포함하여 구성되며, 브리지회로의 각레그(leg)는 고정된 50% 듀티(Duty)를 갖는 2개의 상보적인 PWM 신호로 구동되도록 구성되고, 출력 및 풀 브리지의 단락전류 검출을 위하여 제 1 변류기(CT1)를 구비한 인버터부(80)를 포함하여 구성되는 전기 자동차 배터리 충전용 AC-DC 컨버터를 제공한다.

    The present invention relates to an electric vehicle battery charging technology, and more particularly, to an AC-DC converter for charging an electric vehicle battery, which improves efficiency to allow a power factor (PF) to be close to 1. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the AC-DC converter comprises: an input unit (1) for correcting a power factor of an input power AC power to 0.9 to 1, and then rectifying the same to a DC power to output the same; an output unit (2) for receiving an output DC power of the input unit (1), performing synchronous rectification and active clamp to achieve zero voltage switching, performing DC-DC conversion with voltage required for battery charging to output the same, and having an active clamp snubber circuit; and a bias supply unit (3) for supplying power for driving the input unit (1) and the output unit (2). The output unit (2) includes a full-bridge circuit for zero voltage switching, and each leg of a bridge circuit is driven with two complementary PWM signals having 50% of a fixed duty and includes an inverter unit (80) having a first current transformer (CT1) for output and short-circuit current detection of a full-bridge.
