The present invention relates to a polyester tire cord, in a tire cord composed of a polyester yarn, wherein the tire cord has a cord strength of 4.3 g/d or more at 80°C after vulcanizing the tire cord at 177°C for 15 minutes, cord strength at 120°C is 4.0 g/d or more, and the toughness retention at 80°C and the toughness retention at 120°C after vulcanizing the tire cord at 177° C for 15 minutes are 60% or more. The tire cord of the present invention has the same strength and modulus as rayon even in a high temperature environment of 120°C or higher, and has excellent dimensional stability and heat resistance, so it can be advantageously applied to high-performance tires.

    본 발명은 폴리에스터 원사로 구성되는 타이어 코드에 있어서, 상기 타이어 코드는 타이어 코드를 177℃에서 15분 동안 가류한 후의 80℃에서의 코드 강도가 4.3 g/d 이상이고, 120℃에서의 코드 강도가 4.0 g/d 이상이며, 타이어 코드를 177℃에서 15분 동안 가류한 후의 80℃에서의 터프니스 유지율 및 120℃에서의 터프티스 유지율이 60% 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리에스터 타이어 코드에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 타이어 코드는 120℃ 이상의 고온 환경에서도 레이온과 대등한 강력과 탄성률을 갖고, 치수안정성 및 내열성이 우수하여 고성능 타이어에 유리하게 적용될 수 있다.
