The present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a propulsion unit having a rim foil, a propulsion unit having a rim foil, and a flight vehicle, which can significantly reduce drag during forward flight while protecting a propeller from surrounding obstacles. To this end, according to the present invention, the method for manufacturing a propulsion unit having a rim foil comprises: a plate member forming step of forming an airfoil-type plate member in which the outline on the side view forms an airfoil shape; a rim foil forming step of forming a through hole in the airfoil-type plate member to form a rim foil member whose outline on the side view forms at least a part of the shape of the airfoil; and a propeller installation step of installing a propeller in the through hole. Provided are a propulsion unit having a rim foil manufactured by the described method, and a flight vehicle including the same.
