The present invention relates to a power transmission system for ship propulsion capable of improving fuel efficiency by increasing the rotational force of an engine. According to the present invention, the power transmission system for ship propulsion, which transmits the power of an engine to a propeller to propel a ship, comprises: a continuously variable transmission which changes the rotation speed of a power shaft rotated by the power of the engine and outputs the changed rotation speed to a driven shaft; and a speed increasing device which increases the rotation speed changed to the continuously variable transmission at a high speed and transmits the increased rotation speed to a propulsion shaft of the propeller. The speed increasing device includes: a first timing pulley which is installed on the driven shaft of the continuously variable transmission; and a second timing pulley installed on the propulsion shaft so as to be connected to the first timing pulley by a timing belt and to transmit the rotational speed of the driven shaft to the propeller by increasing the same by 1.5 times or more. Therefore, according to the present invention, since the maximum rpm can be obtained by greatly increasing the rotational force generated in the engine through the continuously variable transmission and the speed increasing device, fuel efficiency can be greatly improved.

    본 발명은 엔진의 회전력을 증속시켜서 연비의 향상을 기대할 수 있는 선박 추진용 동력 전달 시스템에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명은, 선박을 추진하기 위하여 엔진의 동력을 프로펠러로 전달하는 선박 추진용 동력 전달 시스템에 있어서, 상기 엔진의 동력으로 회전하는 동력축의 회전 속도를 바꾸어 중동축으로 출력하는 무단변속기, 및 상기 무단변속기로 바뀐 회전 속도를 고속으로 증속하여 상기 프로펠러의 추진축으로 전달하는 증속기를 포함하되, 상기 증속기는, 상기 무단변속기의 종동축에 설치된 제1 타이밍풀리, 상기 제1 타이밍풀리에 타이밍벨트로 연결되어 상기 종동축의 회전 속도를 1.5배 이상의 고속으로 증속하여 상기 프로펠러로 전달하도록 상기 추진축에 설치된 제2 타이밍풀리를 포함하는 것을 기술사상으로 한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 엔진에서 발생한 회전력을 무단변속기와 증속기를 통해 크게 증속시켜서 최대 rpm을 얻을 수 있으므로 연비를 크게 향상시킬 수 있는 매우 유용한 효과가 있다.
