UUV의 수중 충전/통신 시스템 및 방법이 개시된다. 함정에 연결되어 수중에서 동작하며, 수중에서 UUV를 무선 충전하고 수중에서 상기 UUV와 무선 통신을 수행하는 함정용 수중 충전/통신 스테이션; 상기 UUV에 장착되며, 상기 함정용 수중 충전/통신 스테이션으로부터 수중에서 무선 충전되고, 상기 함정용 수중 충전/통신 스테이션과 수중에서 무선 통신을 수행하는 UUV용 수중 충전/통신 장치를 구성한다. 상술한 UUV의 수중 충전/통신 시스템 및 방법에 의하면, UUV를 수중에서 무선 충전하고, 가시광 통신에 의해 수중에서 임무 지시 데이터를 송신하고 임무 수행 데이터를 수집하도록 구성됨으로써, UUV를 건져 커넥터를 세척하고 건조하고 케이블을 연결하거나 배터리를 교체할 필요가 없고, 배터리를 교체할 필요가 없다. 이에, UUV 내부 기밀 상태가 지속적으로 유지되고, 기밀을 위한 작업이 불필요하다.

    Disclosed are a system and method for the underwater charging/communication system and method of an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV). The system comprises: an underwater charging/communication station for vessels, which is connected to a vessel, operates in the water, wirelessly charges the UUV in the water, and performs wireless communication with the UUV in the water; and an underwater charging/communication device for the UUV, which is mounted on the UUV, is wirelessly charged in the water from the underwater charging/communication station for the vessel, and performs wireless communication in the water with the underwater charging/communication station of the vessel. According to the system and method for the underwater charging/communication of a UUV, the system and method are configured to wirelessly charge the UUV in the water, to transmit mission direction data in the water by the visible light communication, and to collect mission execution data, so that it is not needed to take the UUV out, to clean and dry a connector, to connect a cable, or to replace a battery. Therefore, the internal airtight status of the UUV can be maintained continuously, and work to keep the UUV airtight is not necessary.
