A seawater electrolysis device comprises: an electrolysis module positioned inside a transfer pipe connected with a ballast tank of a ship and electrolyzing seawater conveyed through the transfer pipe; and a rectification module supplying a current to the electrolysis module to enable a total residual oxidant (TRO) of the seawater to maintain a predetermined level and measuring the current to calculate at least one among a flow rate or the flow speed of the conveyed seawater. Therefore, the present invention is capable of measuring the flow rate or the flow speed of the seawater without installation of an additional flow member to exclude a risk of a seawater electrolysis process.

    해수 전기분해 장치는 선박의 발라스트 탱크와 연결된 이송관 내에 위치되고 상기 이송관을 통해 이송되는 해수를 전기 분해하는 전기분해모듈; 및 상기 해수의 TRO(Total Residual Oxidant)를 일정 수준으로 유지하도록 상기 전기분해모듈에 전류를 공급하고, 상기 전류를 측정하여 상기 이송되는 해수의 유량 또는 유속 중 적어도 하나를 산출하는 정류모듈을 포함한다. 따라서, 별도의 유량계의 설치 없이 해수의 유량 또는 유속을 측정하여 해수 전기분해 과정에서 발생 가능한 위험을 배제할 수 있다.
