The present invention relates to an emergency braking system and method and, more specifically, to an emergency braking system which is configured to calculate a collision risk (time-to-collision; TTC) between ones own vehicle and a preceding vehicle and to calculate a braking time (TTCbrake) of ones own vehicle according to an inclination angle of a road so as to prevent collision between ones own vehicle and the preceding vehicle. The emergency braking system of the present invention includes: a communication portion configured to receive and transmit driving information of a preceding vehicle; an autonomous emergency braking (AEB) control portion configured to receive the driving information from the communication portion so as to calculate the TTC of the preceding vehicle and ones own vehicle, receive inclination information so as to calculate the TTCbrake of ones own vehicle according to an inclination angle of a road, thereby automatically controlling ones own vehicle; and a sensor portion configured to detect the inclination angle of the road and generate and transmit the inclination information to the AEB control portion.

    본 발명은 긴급제동시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 자차량과 선행차량의 충돌 위험도(TTC)를 계산하고, 도로의 경사각에 따른 상기 자차량의 제동 시점(TTCbrake)을 계산하여, 상기 자차량과 상기 선행차량의 충돌을 방지하기 위한 긴급제동시스템에 있어서, 상기 선행차량의 운행정보를 수신하여 전송하기 위한 통신부; 상기 통신부로부터 상기 운행정보를 전송받아, 상기 선행차량과 상기 자차량의 충돌 위험도(TTC)를 계산하고, 경사정보를 전송받아, 상기 도로의 경사각에 따른 상기 자차량의 제동 시점(TTCbrake)을 계산하여, 상기 자차량을 자동으로 제어하기 위한 AEB 제어부; 및 상기 도로의 경사각을 감지하여, 상기 경사정보를 생성시켜 상기 AEB 제어부로 전송하기 위한 센서부;를 포함한다.
