According to an embodiment, a cooling apparatus comprises: a main control unit; an electricity drive unit electrically connected to the main control unit; a cooling water pump supplying cooling water to the electricity drive unit; a pump control unit provided in the main control unit, and controlling the cooling water pump; and a temperature sensor connected to the main control unit, and measuring a temperature of the electricity drive unit. The pump control unit may control the cooling water pump for a flow rate of cooling water to be smaller in an electric mode driving an electric motor than a hybrid mode driving a vehicle engine and the electric motor together.
