The present invention relates to a sandglass type LED traffic light. More specifically, the sandglass type LED traffic light is configured to display a stop and wait status consisting of a process of sequentially turning on lower LEDs while sequentially turning off upper LEDs at the same time in a walking stop status where the upper LEDs are fully turned on a sandglass-shaped LED panel and a walking progress status consisting of a process of sequentially turning on the upper LEDs while sequentially turning off the lower LEDs at the same time in a walking start status where the lower LEDs are fully turned on. Therefore, a remaining time required to change a signal can be informed through sandglass animation. According to the present invention, the sandglass type LED traffic light is visually pretty and not boring and allows users to see a time when a signal changes progressively, thereby preventing accidents and allowing even children to easily recognize a traffic light in dangerous places such as a child protection zone.

    본 발명은 모래시계형 LED 신호등에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 모래시계 형상의 LED패널에서 상측LED를 완전 점등한 보행정지 상태에서 상측LED를 순차적으로 소등하면서 동시에 하측LED를 순차적으로 점등하는 과정으로 이루어지는 정지대기상태와, 상기 하측LED를 완전 점등한 보행시작상태에서 하측LED를 순차적으로 소등하면서 동시에 상측LED를 순차적으로 점등하는 과정으로 이루어지는 보행진행상태를 표시하는 것을 포함하여 구성됨에 따라 모래시계 애니메이션을 통해 신호 변경에 소요되는 잔여시간을 알려줄 수 있도록 하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의하면 시각적으로도 예쁘고 지루하지 않으며 신호가 바뀌는 시간을 진행형으로 볼 수 있어 사고예방도 가능하고 어린이 보호구역과 같이 위험한 곳에서도 어린이들도 쉽게 알아볼 수 있는 효과가 있다.
