The present invention is to provide a shift control apparatus and method for a hybrid vehicle, which enables control of a lift foot up (LFU) shift using a P2 transmission mounted electric device (TMED) type hybrid vehicle motor. The present invention relates to a shift control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, which comprises: a sensing unit for sensing vehicle information of a P2 TMED type hybrid vehicle; and a control unit which controls the inclination of a turbine speed of the transmission using a motor when LFU shifting, calculates a slip amount between a target gear stage and turbine speed for shifting, and completes the shifting when a specified minimum slip amount satisfies a specified holding time.
