The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling a driving mode of a robotaxi and a method thereof. According to the present invention, an operator-only smart key is registered as a master key in a plurality of robotaxis. Additionally, the driving mode of the robotaxi is switched based on a control signal from the master key. At this time, switching between an operator mode and an autonomous driving mode is performed at a specific location. Therefore, efficient operation of the plurality of robotaxis can be achieved. For this purpose, the apparatus for controlling the driving mode of the robotaxi of the present invention may comprise: a communication unit providing a communication interface with the master key; and a control unit which switches the driving mode of the robotaxi based on the control signal from the master key.

    본 발명은 로보택시의 주행모드 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 복수의 로보택시에 운영자 전용 스마트키를 마스터키로서 등록하고, 상기 마스터키로부터의 제어신호에 기초하여 로보택시의 주행모드를 전환하되, 특정 위치에서 운영자모드와 자율주행모드 간의 전환을 수행함으로써, 복수의 로봇택시의 효율적 운영을 가능하게 하는 로보택시의 주행모드 제어 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 마스터키와의 통신 인터페이스를 제공하는 통신부; 및 상기 마스터키로부터의 제어신호에 기초하여 로보택시의 주행모드를 전환하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
