Disclosed is a driving system for an electric vehicle that supplies oil to a reducer output shaft through a differential mechanism, thereby reducing the capacity of an oil pump and ensuring durability and strength of the reducer output shaft. According to an exemplary embodiment of the disclosed invention, provided is a driving system for an electric vehicle characterized by including a drive motor; a reducer connected to the drive motor; and a differential mechanism connected to the reducer, wherein a drive shaft of the drive motor is provided as a reducer input shaft with a hollow, and the reducer output shaft is arranged in the hollow along the axial direction. The driving system for the electric vehicle may comprise: a housing of the differential mechanism; and an oil flow passage formed on the reducer output shaft and supplying oil to a reduction unit of the reducer through the reducer input shaft and the reducer output shaft.
