전기 자동차(2)는 컨트롤러(6)와, 배터리(5)와, 복수의 충전 포트(12, 22)를 구비한다. 각각의 충전 포트(12, 22)는 배터리(5)에 전력을 공급하는 충전 장치(80, 90)의 충전 플러그(81, 91)를 접속할 수 있다. 각각의 충전 포트(12, 22)에는 덮개(13, 23)가 구비되어 있다. 컨트롤러(6)는 충전 포트(12, 22)의 어느 것의 덮개(13, 23)가 개방되어 있는 동안, 나머지 충전 포트(12, 22)의 덮개(13, 23)를 로크하도록 구성된다.
