The device (100) comprises a tire holder (210) for holding a pneumatic tire (900) and a studding tool (300) comprising a primary studding head (400) comprising a mouth (410) for injecting a stud (911, 912) out of the studding head (400) into one of the stud holes (920) in a primary direction (D410); and a pusher (430, 530) for pushing the stud (911, 912) out from the mouth (410). The device comprises a primary rotator (110) configured to rotate the primary studding head (400), and a first tilt (142) configured to turn the primary studding head (400) such that the primary direction (D410) forms an angle relative to a plane (Q410) defined by the location of the primary mouth (410), and a normal (N) of the tread (930) and a circumferential direction of the tire.
