The system may include a device processor; and a non-transitory computer readable medium including instructions executable by the device processor to perform the following steps: receiving information indicative of the presence of one or more contaminants in water within a geographic region; determining a characterization of water contamination within the geographic region; and sending information regarding water contamination to a plurality of users of the system.
