A second authentication request is communicated to the computing device. A second authentication response is communicated to the battery. The second authentication response is verified, and a second challenge request is communicated to the computing device. A second challenge response is communicated to the battery. The second challenge response is verified, and a charger authentication status is communicated by the battery to the computing device.
