A renewable energy charging system, an alternating current charging station and a charging method applied to the alternating current charging station are provided. The method includes: measuring an available input power of a system where the alternating current charging station is arranged when the alternating current charging station is operating in a power tracking mode; controlling the alternating current charging station to supply single-phase power to an electric vehicle through a charging gun of the alternating current charging station when the measured available input power is greater than or equal to a single-phase threshold and less than a three-phase threshold, where the single-phase threshold is less than the three-phase threshold; and controlling the alternating current charging station to supply three-phase power to the electric vehicle through the charging gun when the measured available input power is greater than or equal to the three-phase threshold.
