A method for implementing custom power consumption profiles for electric vehicles comprising identifying a set of data elements corresponding to a specific upcoming trip using a controller, identifying whether an existing custom power consumption profile matching the set of data elements is available to the controller and responding to a lack of existing custom power consumption profiles by entering a create custom power consumption profile routine, responding to identification of an existing custom power consumption profile by providing a vehicle operator with at least one suggested modification to the existing custom power consumption profile, and enacting the identified custom power consumption profile including all accepted suggested modifications of the at least one suggested modification.
