A positioning unit (5), controllable by a control unit (4), is provided for a camera device (3). The control unit controls a unit for automatic adjustment of the calibration based on the signals of the patterns received by the camera device so that predetermined objective function e.g. distortion free function, of projection is satisfied. The camera device is driven automatically to the position of the eyes of the operator. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for calibration of a projection e.g. head up display, on a projection surface e.g. windscreen, in a transport unit e.g. motor vehicle. USE - Used for calibration of a projection e.g. head up display, on a projection surface e.g. windscreen, in a transport unit e.g. motor vehicle and airplane, and in mass production of the motor vehicle and in workshop of the motor vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The control unit controls the unit for automatic adjustment of the calibration based on the signals of the patterns received by the camera device so that predetermined objective function e.g. distortion free function, of projection is satisfied, thus facilitating calibration in an automated manner in a mass production of motor vehicle, in an easy manner. The system can be utilized in a workshop of a motor vehicle in an easy manner. The camera device is driven automatically to the position of the eyes of the operator, thus avoiding the need for the constant adjustment of the eyes of the operator to different distances, and hence avoiding operator fatigue.
