This paper introduces a methodology for applying simulation techniques to the development of test programs for analog, mixed-signal and mixed-technology circuits and systems. Using the Saber simulator and its Testify test manager, the normal and fault behavior of a complete electro-hydraulic system is analyzed to obtain information used in generating a test program for the system. This information can also be used in reliability and safety studies.
