In bandpass sampling (BPS) a band limited signal is sampled at ratio below the Nyquist rate and is still able to be reconstructed without significant damage. Optimizing sampling ratio in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system is complicated and filled with several dependent variables. In the wake of present development the Space Time Coding (STC) is prevalent among the MIMO systems, which makes it very prelavant among the MIMO systems, which makes it very relevant to variety of applications including RADAR, SONAR, and fourth generation cellular systems. In this paper the present and past literature on BPS and BPS geometry is reviewed to understand the implications on MIMO systems. The role of nonlinear systems is explained in relation to acceptable and unacceptable sampling rates. The paper is concluded by analyzing the impact of BPS technique on an MIMO systemss performance.
