Four-wave-mixing (FWM) efficiency of a silicon-based one-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide was measured along with its spectral profile of the group index. High FWM efficiencies were observed near the band edge compared to those at the middle sections of its transmission band despite its high dispersion effect.
