According to the requirements in Part 25 of the Civil Aviation Regulations of China (CCAR): Airworthiness Standards for Transport Category Aircraft issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and Advisory Circular AC25-17 issued by the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (FAA), it is necessary to analyze the ditching floating performance of ditching to ensure that the occupants can safely evacuate the aircraft and board a life raft. This paper gives two ideas and methods for the computational analysis of the floatation performance of civil aircraft ditching based on numerical simulation and Archimedes' principle, respectively. The two methods have been approved by the reviewer of CAAC, which are great significance for the study of the airworthiness certification of civil aircraft floatation performance.
