The paper analyzes the demand and current situation of research and application in industrial equipment maintenance. As well as the theoretical research and practical application of existing diagnosis methods, there is found the advantages and disadvantages in different methods. Then, according to the latest achievement and development trend of related technologies, it summarizes the prospect of future development trend in state monitoring and fault diagnosis.
