Promoting the coordinated development of coastal port clusters is necessary to achieve regional economic and social development, and also provides important impetus for the promotion of major national and regional strategies. This paper takes Yangpu Port and Qinzhou Port, two important port nodes of the New western land-sea corridor, as the research objects, constructs a port coupling coordination degree model, and analyzes the coordinated development status and trend of the two ports by measuring and predicting the coupling coordination degree of Yangpu Port and Qinzhou Port from 2014 to 2021. The results show that according to the current development status, the two ports can reach the coupled coordination status of high quality coordination by 2025, and the Yangpu Port contributes slightly more to the coordinated development of the combined system of the two ports. Based on the analysis of the current development situation of the southwest coastal ports, the article also puts forward suggestions for the coordinated development of the two ports and the mutual promotion of the regional economy.
