This paper presents a dynamic torque-frequency characteristic analysis technique for the hybrid stepping motors. Using the model-transformation based method, the static torque-angle characteristic, back-EMF, and parameters of a test motor are simulated. Furthermore, an instantaneous torque prediction technique is proposed. And the dynamic torque-frequency characteristic is analyzed using the numerical method. Also the inductance parameter is modified to improve the accuracy of the mathematical model. Finally, a MATLAB simulation model is built to analyze the dynamic torque-frequency characteristic of the hybrid stepping motor. The feasibility and accuracy of the proposed technique are verified by comparing the experimental and calculation results.
