The key aspect of the autonomous vehicles is the connectivity establishment within the vehicles. The connectivity interfaces used by vehicles are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks. Since, connectivity plays a vital role in autonomous vehicles, the vulnerabilities associated with them also have to be taken into consideration. These vulnerabilities and loopholes can be exploited to take control over the vehicles and may also sometimes lead to creating terrifying situations. This paper focuses on bluetooth interfaces of the vehicle wherein it is shown that bluetooth can be hacked by just using reconnaissance details. This work also proposes a method to calculate the risk present in the CAV’s. The proposed risk calculation framework follows NIST standard guidelines.
