In the US CELRAP laser radar hardware, 25 mJ KTA OPO shifted Nd:YAG laser pulses at 1.54 microns are transmitted through beam fan optics. The return signal is imaged onto InGaAs PIN or HgCdTe APD linear multiple channel detector arrays.
