We characterize a 1064 nm pumped, 10 kHz seminoncollinear PPLN-OPO. The crystal had a parallel grating tilted by 60/spl deg/ to its x-axis. The OPO provides an efficiency of 35% and compared to a collinear PPLN-OPO an improved beamquality (M/sup 2/<1.2) due to reduced backconversion.
