Continuous-wave power of 418 mW at 473 nm with 6.7% overall optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is obtained through intracavity frequency-doubled with KNbO/sub 3/ at room temperature of a Nd:YAG laser operating on the 946-nm /sup 4/F/sub 3/2//spl rarr//sup 4/I/sub 9/2/ transition.
