A full-duplex radio-on-fiber (ROF) transport system based on optical single sideband (SSB) modulation, wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) and optical add-drop multiplexing techniques is proposed and demonstrated. Over a long-haul fiber link, low bit error rate (BER) and third order intermodulation distortion to carrier ratio (IMD/sub 3//C) values were obtained in our proposed full-duplex ROF transport systems. Such a proposed full-duplex ROF transport system is suitable for the long-haul microwave optical link.
