10-50 GHz arbitrary radio-frequency waveforms with a temporal aperture up to 1.0 ns and peak-to-peak amplitudes as high as 400 mV are generated using a virtually-imaged phased-array direct space-to-time (VIPA-DST) pulse shaper at 1.55 /spl mu/m.
