This study proposes an enhanced robust controller for fuel cell (FC)-powered dc-dc two phase interleaved boost converter (IBC) using a high order extended state observer (HESO). The HESO brings betterment in handling unknown external time varying disturbances. The disturbance is evaluated in real time with HESO and then cancelled in the proposed controller’s control law. The proficiency of the HESO-led controller is proved by the simulative outcomes, which shows that it is better capable of dealing with time-varying disturbances than the proportional-integral (PI) and conventional extended state observer (ESO) controllers.
