The Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) is part of the Avionics Test and Integration Complex located at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, California. The mission of the BAF is to support installed systems testing for avionics test programs requiring a large, shielded chamber with radio frequency (RF) absorption capability that simulates free space. The BAF houses a unique threat generation system that is used to provide RF stimuli for avionics and electronic warfare systems.<>
