The intermittent nature of many renewable sources poses a difficulty to maintain a balance between renewable energy availability and coincident peak demand. One way is to store the excess electricity, and then feed it back into the grid during the peak demand periods. Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology provides a means to accomplish this task and thus it is an emerging business model. Bidirectional wireless charging technology can significantly improve usability of V2G concept. In this paper, a novel control strategy for bidirectional inductive power transfer system is developed which employs switch controlled capacitor for its operation. The proposed system can achieve load matching and zero voltage switching conditions simultaneously over wide range of operating conditions. The simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed system.
