Today, it is common the use of a static power converters to adapt the available energy from a clean source to feed an electrical load. Wind energy conversion systems have become one of the principal areas of research on renewable energies. This research has permitted the development of different topologies and control strategies of power converters to be used on wind energy extraction. This paper presents the design and simulation of a predictive current control algorithm of an AC/DC/AC power converter in order to obtain constant voltage and frequency at variable wind speed, with the advantages of easy and time equidistant implementation on a DSP-based system. Moreover, the proposed system works by using a wind turbine directly connected to a permanent magnet synchronous generator In order to reduce mechanical loss and cost due to a gearbox. Several simulated results at different operating conditions show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
