Effect of coupling between plasmons in metallic nanocavities and radiation field is discussed in the paper. Due to high radiative decay rates of the void-like plasmon Mie modes in a metallic shell, the radiative decay of these modes is a very fast process with radiative lifetimes of femtosecond pulse.
