The purpose of this paper is to present the stages and work made for the development of a prototype of a prosthetic hand with the new feature of a haptic system that assimilate the sense of touch. The prototype has a 3D printed PLA case, Electromyography (EMG) technology for the activation of the prosthetic fingers, and a haptic system that works with pressure sensors, motors activated by a PWM signal, and the program stored in a microprocessor. The goal of this project is the achievement of a functional prosthetic arm that allows the user to recover part of the functions that a human limb has. The continued development of this project will be described in further articles. This project looks forward to achieving the creation of prosthetic devices that is affordable to most people. The prototype costs around 15,000 MXN. This price compared to one of the actual prosthetic arms with the same technology is less than 10% of the price.
