The never-ending demand of electrical energy forces the researchers across the globe towards maximizing the use of renewable sources efficiently. To meet the demand in the remote locations, renewable energy fed microgrid, integrated with suitable energy storage system could be the possible solution. The fluctuations in the energy vectors need to be forecasted for proper planning of energy transition along with an economical use of energy storage unit. This paper has explored a design procedure for an Energy Management Tool and a demand response strategy for an isolated microgrid on a day ahead basis, taking forecasted energy vectors as input aiming at customer centric energy transition. This work is a part of one of the deployment projects funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
