The population of vehicles is growing at a faster rate as per advancement and improvement of the living standard of human beings. Road accidents become a major concern in every country with the growth of vehicles. The main reason for road accidents could be the timing of brakes applied while riding. For this automobile, industries are constantly struggling to develop self-governing brake systems to minimize the accidents on road. The design of the brake system is the most critical part of a vehicle in current safety technology to avoid road accidents. The braking system can be designed to prevent the possibility of collision with the sensor technology. In this paper to overcome this issue, a vehicle braking system is designed using an IR sensor and MSP 430 microcontroller. This braking system takes suitable action and save the vehicle from accident if any obstacle comes in front of the vehicle in its appropriate range. It will turn on the alarm and show the emergency message on display
