In Japan, the downlink of 5G systems (Band n77) and the downlink of domestic satellite communication must share the same frequencies in the C-band. Therefore, satellite communication quality suffers interference from the 5G systems. The same interference problem from 5G systems to other communication systems are expected to occur worldwide. As one solution to the 5G system interference problem, we proposed an interference canceller to reduce the interference from 5G systems to satellite communication systems. In this study, we first propose a technology that can cancel more interference than the previously proposed canceller and then evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method through computer simulations. Then, we develop a prototype system that implements the proposed technology in a 5G New Radio (NR) system. The results confirm that the prototype decreases interference by over 25 dB and is thus useful for frequency sharing of 5G NR systems with other systems.
