In the era of globalization, the scale of transportation segments is increasing rapidly. The related resource consumption, such as fuel, is an urgent target for reduction in the context of carbon neutrality. The platooning application promises to significantly reduce fuel consumption in the transportation segment, especially for the transport of goods in heavy-duty trucks. However, maintaining stable connectivity between the vehicles in the platoon is challenging. Especially as platoons tend to generate much data, which can lead to channel congestion in dense traffic scenarios. To address this challenge, we propose a broadcast scheme that exploits the platooning-specific topology to enable Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC) data exchange with low overhead. Specifically, our proposed Multi-Purpose Message (MPM) approach enables data to flow in the downstream direction while generating an intelligent feedback mechanism for error detection and error correction in the upstream direction. To evaluate the concept, we present three strategies to optimize the scheme for latency and reliability.
