This paper deals with the modelling of a reversible heat pump for control-oriented purposes. As energy-management systems of electric vehicles (EV) require minimizing the energetic cost of several components, it is important to define simple models in order to develop and validate control laws capable of reducing these costs. Through this paper we elaborate a simple model that is able to follow the main dynamics involved in the thermodynamical cycles of a reversible heat pump.
