Co-frequency co-time full duplex is a promising technique for improving spectrum efficiency of wireless communication systems. However, application of full duplex to small cell-based network suffers from extra interference besides self-interference (SI), which should be carefully analyzed and cancelled. To meet the demands for diversified communication services in maritime transport systems, ports and shipping, a small cell-based full duplex system is investigated, where various interference cancellation techniques are exploited to cope with such extra interference. Additionally, for secure communications in ports and shipping, secrecy throughput of the downlink (DL) channel and uplink (UL) channel in the investigated system is derived.
