Summary form only given. We have demonstrated a novel hybrid dense WDM (DWDM) device with low insertion loss, high isolation, low PDL (polarisation loop dispersion) and low temperature coefficient. Although the device we built is 200-GHz channel spacing WDM, there is no major problems in making 100 or even 50-GHz channel spacing WDM devices.
