Solid-state, phase-shifting serrodyne techniques are discussed as a high performance, light-weight, high reliability and low cost alternative to medium power traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA) generated deception jamming. Used in conjunction with digital signal processing (DSP) techniques, this approach provides the next generation of intelligently controlled deception waveform for electronic warfare (EW) applications.
