SAFARI is a new robotic aircraft washing and painting system that reduces personnel exposure to carcinogens, minimizes liquid wastes, and reduces atmospheric emissions while at the same time improves quality and increases throughput. The project was funded by the U.S. Air Force through its PRAM Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The SAFARI is located at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, U.S., and foreign patents are pending.<>
